John Blair MLA fails to destroy a countryside tradition

John Blair MLA, the ideologically possessed Northern Ireland politician, failed in his bid to ruin people’s lives and destroy the traditions of the countryside. His bill to ban hunting failed in spectacular fashion with politicians from the Northern Ireland assembly questioning a dodgy consultation he fronted where anyone in the world, in fact the universe, could take part.

Here is a tip for you John, if you want to force through legislation based on misrepresentations, half-truths and falsehoods, you need to get one of those dodgy animal rights charities you associate with to bung certain politicians and their parties a million quid. Also, getting these same charities to bank roll a dodgy scientist to conduct research that supports the ideology but goes against historical practises born from centuries of knowledge and understanding is also handy. It worked for IFAW & Labour at Westminster.

Good riddance Blair, for the time being, because I know like a pimple on the arse of society you will be back. You can’t fail to be, the bottom feeding charities you represent have bottom lines and CEOs bonuses to pay out and they need to show their gullible supporters and cultist membership they are doing something for their money.

In the meantime, we fully support Francie Molloy’s (MP for Mid Ulster) suggestion that fox hunting should be promoted as a tourist attraction in Northern Ireland by taking advantage of the oppressive and draconian law in the rest of the UK. Its time reasonably minded people stood up and promoted a ban on the idiots, wingnuts, charlatans and liars from the animal rights brigade and their money-making scams involving accusing those that actually work with animals and have their interest and welfare at heart of cruelty and abuse.

I recall the good days when rich Americans would come over and spend their money hunting with the cream of the shires before breaking out across the country and touring the deep countryside packs. The Exmoor fox hounds were an old favourite with the brilliant huntsman Tony Wright and the most distinguished of hound breeders Capt. Ronnie Wallace. If by chance Horse and Hound were visiting that pack, they would always show the cheery faced Americans in their magazine.

They would stay in local country hotels or bed and breakfast, and were very generous with the tips, a nicely turned out horse by the groom warranted a good tip as did a tidy bedroom. Those locals working two jobs to make ends meet certainly welcomed their visits.

Sure the dreary unwashed idiots that contribute nothing to the countryside but misery were about but the press weren’t interested and column space was at a premium with far more important issues to cover than how we kill pest foxes. All that changed with social media and rolling news. Basically, trivial irrelevant nonsense became headlines. And what happens when you have rolling news and a tiny minority of obsessed nutters with personality disorders to boot with carte blanche to act out their fantasies of authority? – All hell breaks out in the countryside.

They even have their own roving reporter in Rupert Evelyn, a free-lancer who works for ITV news.  An old Etonian no less that spends his life obsessing over hunting because he is showered with praise from housewives that display warped empathy for a fox that has just munched its way through a hen house, while the huntsman according to them should die a slow agonising death from cancer and kids having life threatening accidents on ponies whilst out trail hunting. That’s karma apparently.  It’s also how morbidly twisted and nasty these folk are.

Do you want this countryside madness for Northern Ireland? Tell John Blair to bog off for good, our Blair, admitted he regretted banning hunting and that should be all the evidence the Northern Ireland assembly needs.

To help this promotion I will share this joyous video made to counter Blair’s falsehoods on hunting. This was made by the hunt staff of the South Tyrone fox hounds using their mobile phones and gives a small insight into their work at hunt kennels.

All you lovers of the countryside and its traditions, Enjoy.
